# Citizens

Lets you bind a [Citizens](https://citizensnpcs.co/) NPC to one of a currency's [shops](/home/xplayercurrencies/features/shop.md), so right-clicking that NPC opens it directly - Hypixel/RoyaleEconomy style - instead of needing a physical block or a command.

## Setup

1. Install Citizens and spawn/select an NPC as you normally would.
2. While looking at/near the NPC:

   ```
   /currencies admin npc bind <currency> <shopId>
   ```
3. Right-clicking that NPC now opens the bound shop for any player with `xplayercurrencies.shop`.

## Managing bindings

```
/currencies admin npc unbind
/currencies admin npc list
```

Bindings are stored in their own `npc-shops.yml` in the plugin's data folder, independent of any currency's config file - deleting or renaming a currency doesn't silently orphan a binding; it just stops resolving until you either restore that currency or `unbind` and re-bind by hand.

This integration needs no separate Citizens API dependency at build time - it only activates at runtime if the Citizens plugin is actually installed, and is otherwise a safe no-op.
